To say that the 1960s, 70s, and early 80s were the most glamourous period in U.S.(or even the world)history is also to say it was a sophisticated-enough place where someone LIKE CHET Baker could perform. No one is going to DENY that the period of the 50s, which must have necessarily laid the ground-work FOR THE glam that followed on from its uptake actually wasn't more of a 'beat-nick' generation. the aftermath of WW 2, STEINBECK and the remnants of a military-run economic model would still have presented a performer like CHET!a risky-prospect to perform something that, even today, must sound a bit feminine, on the one hand, but, more truly, something that espouses a BELIEF in something decent. the whole time within a time withinatime of a pop-song makes a good-deal of sense to MAKE into the present actually cause there is nobody on anything now—and this was ALSO true of the fuckin' FIFTIES my man would say CHET himsef--BUT awaiting economic RE-ASSIGNMENT protocolization. People just WILL wait-around forever—whether they is the people 'in-charge' of it all;or the standard worker—just to see if it might get a bit different with the passage of time/or maybe it's "produce a less egregious" difficulty-proposition to what I CONSIDER 'what I'd like to do'.
